Greetings all mythicists and mythicist-curious! My name is Megan and I'm glad you're here.

I met Mythicist Milwaukee at their first conference in  April 2015. I had been out of the athiest loop since moving to town a few years ago. I was deconverted by Richard Dawkins whilst living in England. The mythicist position was unfamiliar to me, but learning about it has strengthened my feeling of godlessness.

Luckily, my university (Mount Mary University) allowed me to intern as a new media (English) student. I write the newsletter and now you will be seeing more of my work.

Here are some shots from today's broadcast at the  the newly-renamed Milwaukee Cooperative.

P.S. I love Asherah.

Raphael Lataster: The Mythicist Scholar from Down Under

Raphael Lataster is a professional secular PhD researcher at the University of Sydney and teaches on religion at various institutions.

Raphael wrote his Master’s thesis on Jesus historicity theories, concluding that historical and Bayesian reasoning justifies a skeptical attitude towards the ‘Historical Jesus’.

For his doctoral work, Raphael is analyzing the major philosophical arguments for God’s existence and attempts to demonstrate the logical improbability of theism. He explores the theological tendencies of Philosophy of Religion, and considers the plausibility of pantheistic worldviews. He explains much of his research in his book entitled There Was No Jesus, There is No God

Raphael joined us from live from Sydney, Australia and discussed his work on the Jesus myth theory.
