Tom and Cecil join us on the Mythicist Milwaukee Show
Tom and Cecil host the very popular “Cognitive Dissonance Podcast” out of (the real) Chicago.
Cecil is a deconverted Christian, Ex- Republican, one-time Woo-believer and former conspiracy theorist. He has two associates’ degrees in culinary and patisserie arts, a BA degree in philosophy, and a Masters in New Media.
Tom is a great lover of sandwiches and the meats and cheeses within them. He has a degree in English Literature, and a long time skeptic. He is also afraid of birds.
Together they have recorded over 270 episodes and have acquired over $1100 of funding per episode through their Patreon page. They have recently raised over $5,000 for the Secular Student Alliance and personally donated $5,000 to Doctors without Borders.
The Cognitive Dissonance Podcast consists of Tom and Cecil covering current news stories that deal with religion and politics from a secular point of view and with a justifiable crude sense of humor. Their podcast is addicting because although they personally reduce it to toilet humor, their fans know that it is brilliantly produced by two very funny and intelligent individuals. They have a very loyal listenership and for great reason. Make sure to checkout their podcast, donate to their show, grab a Glory Hole walk mat, and make sure to tell them David Smalley sent you.
During this interview we discuss why Richard Dawkins should not use Twitter. We also discuss why rapper B.O.B. thinks the Earth is flat and what Sarah Palin does for the Trump campaign. You will also find out how the "Skeptics Creed" originated. We get into all of this and more. Make sure to listen to this episode!
